Within a year, Nate was turned into a werewolf, married and then became a father to toddlers. When Odila mentioned becoming parents to adopted children, he was more than happy to open their home to them. Loki and Thor needed a home, and he knew that Odin was right, they couldn't allow a child to be born with the same agony that they had to go through. Nate's muscles were still screaming in agony from the change back to his human form, but he had to pick up his sons from his mother and allow Odila to sleep for a little bit longer.
He sat down on one of the couches in the living room and gently played with Loki's hair while he slept. Thor sat on the floor coloring in his favorite book while Nate just watched him. There was no better feeling than knowing he was a father. Sure it was difficult with their classes and then the boys, but who could want anything more? Two little boys who just loved playing Viking with Odila, who listened to Nate play his violin for hours and never seemed scared of Nate and Odila when they came back from their transformations covered in mud or blood from a play fight.
"Do you want some lunch, Thor?" He smiled when his son's long blonde hair picked up from the coloring book and smiled at him,
"Can we have fruit, daddy?"
Being called a daddy was something that he would never get tired of hearing.
"I think if you keep an eye on your brother, I can get you something." Thor nodded excitedly and Nate carefully moved so Loki could still sleep. He went into their kitchen and started to cut some strawberries and grapes, both of their favorites. He never thought that he would be a father so soon, but with everything that happened with the adoption, he wouldn't have changed it for anything in the world.
