It was said that where he grew up had a big part in how he viewed magical creatures. A lot of them weren’t creatures to him, Youngblood was as much a person as Zerro was. Horse half or not. With tales of centers and fawn being something that was everywhere while he grew up it made sense. It was simply ridiculous to him that a centaur or werewolf was seen as any less. If anything wizards and witches were not even on the same level as the more humanoid magical creatures. Watching Youngblood change like he had in front of him was enough to show that.
Zerro found a comfort being so close to Youngblood. It was something that he had been longing for. He couldn’t even remember the last time he had felt that way around anyone. At a young age he had been jaded to love. Now that he was older Zerro had learned to realize that there was too much around that was beautiful not to appreciate it. All the possibilities that were too lovely not to at least give a chance. Like now as he savored the feeling of having this man next to him.
He smiled up at Youngblood. “You are pretty wonderful too Youngblood.” People’s attitudes always helped to feed his own. As layed back as he was a sour person could easily scramble his normal good mood. Never did he seem to have trouble keeping a smile on his face while around the Centaur. “Of course.” Zerro would be the biggest jerk in the world if he had not been there to help after he had suggested that the older man try this in the first place.
Zerro watched carefully as Youngblood seemed to gain confidence with each step. He wanted to just run up to the other and link arms tugging him along so they could dash around the streets and just enjoy this together. That would not be a good idea so he just stayed at the same pace making sure that Youngblood’s new lags were staying steady and strong.
“That would make the journey shorter,” He laughed. Really he would had been happy just threading his fingers with the other’s wand wondering anywhere, but he had promised a trip to the festival and trip there was what was going to happen. It would be nothing short of wonderful to see the other light up at all the sights and sounds. He wrapped an arm around Youngblood again, hoping that whatever magic was making the new human legs possible would be able to keep during the short trip. With a snap they were off and ended up only a couple streets away from the festival itself in a secluded area. “You still in one piece?” He asked looking over Youngblood before taking his hand and leading him the rest of the way to the grounds.
