The break was like an amazing dream. He got to spend time with Ivy and Sebby and that was all that Sunny could ever ask for. The short trip to Arizona wasn’t bad. Unfortunately he didn’t get to see his father. Somewhere in the depths of his mind Sunny knew that it would be that way. At least he got to give his mother flowers. Snap dragons. They were always her favorite.
Then they got to spend time at Sebby’s cabin, before Sunny had to go back and tend to his plants. It was weird going from the heat of his home town and the beaches of California to the snow that fell and landed on the ground of New Zealand. He actually loved any kind of weather.
For the first day back he did forget that a sweater and jacket would do him a whole lot better than just the tank top and shorts that he walked out of his home in. That was something that was quickly reminded going back into his bedroom and digging around the boxes that were labeled ‘WINTER’ in large black letters.
Even though he had been back in the winter weather for a week or so Sunny was still pulling his warm cloths out from the box. He didn’t have many people to impress. Even if he did the man relied more on his smile and hugs than his room.
Today Sunny found himself wondering around the town that he had lived in for a year but still constantly got lost in. Still he had the ever present smile on his face as he walked around crunching in the snow. Gloved fingers pulled the hat down more on his head.
A puppy in a window caught his eye. For a while Sunny just watched the pup run around chasing it’s tale. The chill got to his face after a while and Sunny decided it was time to go inside. Maybe he could find a friend to take back and stay with him his room at Aridorn. He walked over to the puppy he spotted in the window. It jumped up and yapped at the man. Sunny laughed and then pulled off a glove and gently pet the dog’s head.
