Cahal tried to catch his breath, but found that it was nearly impossible. His whole body was drenched in sweat and his muscles were screaming for death. He just wanted to curl up on his bed and sleep for the rest of his life, but he couldn't move from his spot on the ground. The sun was barely up on the horizon, and he knew that it would be hours before Bryson even woke up. He hated the monthly changes, he hated being so out of control of his body and he hated that this was the one part of his life that he had to keep Bryson at arm's reach about. His lover knew that he was a werewolf, with a surname like Greyback, it was impossible not to. Cahal just didn't want him to know how bad it was. He didn't want Bryson to ever know what sort of horror he had to go through, because it would make his boyfriend look at him differently.
It was his deepest fear and strongest nightmare.
Cahal clawed into the ground so he would be able to drag his naked body to the closest tree and leaned against it. Even those few inches took all of the strength in his body and made him start shaking. He knew that there were people, mostly in his family, who enjoyed the feeling of changing back. Who got a high from it and he would never be able to understand it.
He scanned the forest, making sure that there was nothing that would come after him and just closed his eyes. He just needed to relax for a second to gain his strength back. He knew that he was a strange sight, a naked sophomore completely covered in dirt and sweat, but he would handle anything that came across him.
