Damn... It had been a long time since Quidditch star Ellie Wood had walked these cobblestone streets. Nostalgia filled the air as she took in her surroundings. Had it really been two years since she had last been here? It felt like a lifetime. Hogsmeade hadn't changed a bit. Snow had filled the air again, and it reminded her of the times she spent here with the Misfits. Another smile donned Ellie's face. The Misfits. Man, were they a group. As most high school friendships, it seems to have fizzled out, as it were, through the test of time. Sure, Ellie still kept in touch with Niqui. They were the only ones of the group that were still close, as far as Ellie was concerned. Niqui was her only tattoo babe. But she didn't even know how to get in contact with the other two. Time, space, jobs... It just wedged them apart. It was sad, Ellie thought. But it didn't have to be.
That's why she was here in Hogsmeade today. She felt it high time to rekindle an old friendship. Ellie had heard word that that snooty Rowan Alistar was working here now. A laugh escaped her lips as she thought upon the time that he beat her in a Quidditch match back in sixth year. Ellie was so mad at him for being such a turd about it! As per the bet they made, she went with him to the formal later that week, and all ruffled feathers were soothed. They never had anything more than a friendship - Ellie never wanted it that way. She loved the easy banter between them, and the friendly competitiveness between them was to die for. Ellie thinks she has part of her success as a professional Quidditch player to owe to Rowan. He taught her how to better herself, to always strive for something better.
After a short walk Ellie soon found herself in front of her destination. The Three Broomsticks. The young woman walked inside the establishment. It was empty, too early to be open, Ellie imagined. "Knock knock! I was told a certain arrogant boy band drop out lives here now!" A smirk adorned her face as she looked around. It pleased her to know that he didn't change the place much. She liked the way it had always been.
Ellie grabbed a seat at the bar and adjusted herself. Maybe she'd just have to wait here all day for Rowan. That's fine. She had all the time in the world.
