Fae closed the front door to Ollivander's and made sure it was locked with a key and a spell. She loved the old building where her family's heritage lived and never wanted a thing to happen to it. Her great grandfather had taught her as much as he could and now the running of the family business was up to her.
Being back in London was strange. Life was still so strange, especially come nightfall. Fae had arranged to catch up with a few friends but they wanted to meet after dark at a popular place. The popular place wasn't an issue for Fae, the night time was. It wasn't like Fae was afraid of the dark or anything like that, she just didn't like what she knew was lurking there.
Fae left just before sunset. It was an hour before her friends would even be ready but she wanted to get there early. She had a book packed away in her bag, she could have a couple of soft drinks and keep a table free for the four of them.
The evening made Fae feel a little nervous but her friends hadn't wanted to do anything at their places or want dot go to hers, she didn't blame them, London was a busy city and it was only natural that they wanted to get swept up in everything for a night but it just wasn't Fae's thing any more, not since ... everything.
Disapperating from the front of the shop, Fae landed at a side alley in muggle London. She looked about and was pleased there was no one else around. She fixed up her outfit, straightening it out and made her way to the bar just a few buildings down.
The place looked busy all ready but Fae could only spot a couple of single stools at the bar. She guessed she'd sit until she could spot a free table.
Fae entered the bar and made her way to get a drink, Before she could even sit down she noticed a table free up. She carefully avoided knocking into other people's chairs and used her manners like her mother had taught her, but by the time she had gotten to the table, someone else sat down with a friend. "Sorry." She said with a small sheepish smile. Sorry? Why was she sorry? Fae didn't know, she just turned about.
As she turned another table opened up, Fae closed the few steps and took a seat. She was next to the window, watching passers by, at least her friends would be able to spot her she supposed.
A waiter came and took away the empty glasses and wiped down the table, fae sat her own drink down and pulled out her book. It wouldn't be long until her friends were there, especially while she was swept away in a romance novel, sipping at her raspberry flavoured fizzy drink.
