Sparrow was shocked that the penthouse button worked still on the elevator. She had been in the apartment when Romeo and GusGus helped her move into the place, but that had been months ago. She still couldn't bring herself to spend the night in the new place. At least not alone. She had been waiting for someone special to spend her first night in the apartment with, and no one in the world seemed as good as Jade. He had been in Asia or somewhere in the Middle East for so long, she thought that she wouldn't see the inside of the apartment until the next year. Not something that she was particularly fond of. Her brand new mattress was inside of the apartment, and it was much better than the over stuffed ones in the Inn bedrooms. The elevator took them to the top floor, opening right into the apartment. It was secure enough, considering people needed a special key in order to get into her apartment, or be buzzed in by Sparrow when she was inside. She wouldn't be able to live without her Thai takeout otherwise. She briefly considered a shoebox in Hell's Kitchen only because it was closer to her favorite Indian place, but the windows in the Brooklyn apartment won out.
The redhead took Jade's hand and tugged him into the apartment when the doors opened, still finding a loss for words over how much she missed being in the place she was supposed to begin her new life in.
'So, what do you think?' She asked, making sure that the lights were turned on so he would be able to get the full effect of the apartment.
'The windows kinda sold me on it.' The snow was already frosting her window, and the beautiful lights of the city shone against the snow. She loved Salem more than anything, but she couldn't live without her New York City. It was in her blood and in her soul. She was sure that Jade had seen some beautiful places in the world, but she couldn't even imagine being anywhere else but there. Standing in front of the window with Jade next to her. It was the life that she was too chicken to beg for. It was the life that she knew would make her the happiest, but possibly him miserable. He seemed too happy roaming the world. She couldn't take it from him.
