Eun Min leaned back on the stone fountain and watched the clouds roll in over head. There were so many things that she had to do today, and just no will power to do any of them. She knew what she wanted to do with her life, she just had to figure out how to make it happen. She wanted to leave Korea. She wanted to run away from the walls and just be with Zerro and France. Sure, she could send letters to her godfather, but she missed him. She missed being with someone who actually liked spending time with her. Someone who didn't see her as a blood status like the people around Mabeob seemed to. Mabeob might be a way for students to get used to a world where blood meant everything, but she didn't want to be part of any of it. She wanted to run far away, learn French, figure out a life that she could have for herself.
She ran her hands through her raven hair and felt how warm it was from the sunshine. She just wanted to find the courage to leave forever. The bubbling water was soothing, it let her thoughts settle down. She wanted to be away from all of this. From her half-siblings and their need to show that they were better than Eun Min because their father is a wizard, about how disgusting she was for being a half-blood.
A class let out nearby, making Eun sigh a little. She would probably be joined by someone soon. Someone who wanted to chat with her about an assignment, or find someone who would try to flirt with her. There was something about half-blood half-Korean girls that seemed to be fascinating for most people. Some thought that she was a slut and would sleep with whoever looked at her nicest. Sure, she had flings with professors and older students, but it was always to get something out of it. She knew that she would have to manipulate and lie to get ahead in the world. Or, she did, until Zerro told her about the type of person she could be without all of it. She wanted to be that type of girl. The one that her father would be proud of.
