Attended muggle university, graduated in three years. [break] Wand: Willow with cherry handle. Ten inches, unusually rigid and unyeilding. Hippogriff feather core. [break][break] PERSONALITY[break][break] Likes:Her wand even though its very temperamental, her best friend of course and his new family, muggle books, singing like no one is listening and dancing like no one is watching, learning, her job, her future. [break] Dislikes: The color orange is just dreadful. Why would anyone ever like it? She also hates the full moon because of what it turns her into, even though she has gotten a handle on herself and "safe" when it happens. She hates being alone and is almost always out with friends or at the very least texting someone, Rowan mostly. Ora is very much NOT into men who are very pushy or people who smoke. She also dislikes coffee but loves tea, hates beer but loves wine, hates the snow but loves the rain. [break] Strengths: Her smarts, her muggle education as well as her magic education. She speaks seven languages including sign language. Her dedication and persistence. [break] Weaknesses: Her "curse," her age, the way she acts when she is under pressure sometimes leaves much to be desired but she is getting better at it. She tends to get shy in the presence of a particular person... Her loneliness which she pushes through as best she can... she can replace it with her work. [break] Overall Personality: Like her wand, Ora is sometimes unyeilding and unmoving. She stands her ground and is loyal to the core to support her family, her friends, and those she cares about as well as the people she works for and with. However at the same time she is a huge sweetheart. A massive honey who is sweet, kind, funny, brave and very entertaining. She can act her age and older but sometimes be childish when the mood strikes her. Why not? Its fun to relax once in a while an be silly. [break][break] HISTORY[break][break] Family:[break] • Carver Chandler, 46, muggle, father [break] • Delly Chandler, 43, muggle, mother [break] Birth Place: On a Navy base in New Hampshire [break] Overall History: Ora was a brat. A military brat. She was born on a Naval base in New Hampshire and grew up there with very few other children. She learned to read rather early and explored her imagination, having to make up her own friends and her own games as well. Reading became her favorite past time, as well as learning and she was home schooled, being an early bloomer on almost everything. When she was eight years old her father relocated them to a base in Florida where she met her very best friend, Rowan and little did the two children know that they would impact each other's lives so totally. They grew up together for three years. Secrets, games, pledging to never stop being friends EVER. When Ora was ten she started feeling, well, different. She could make things move, make things happen... Confiding in her best friend she found out he, too felt the same and could do things that were far from normal. Each received a letter on their 11th birthday to attend a magical school, and while they were sorted into different houses they were still best of friends. They promised forever. Everything seemed great. Her grades, her friends... until she was fourteen. Ora was attacked by a werewolf. Ashamed of her new curse she confided in her friend, only to realize that he, too was a werewolf... I guess they had more in common than she ever thought. It sort of pulled them even closer together and she managed to somehow develop a crush on him, but it didn't last long. She sort of "got over it" quickly. After graduating from Salem she moved swiftly to Australia where she went to a muggle university. Graduating early she landed an internship at the Australian ministry and plans to become a cursebreaker and auror... she WILL do both. Reunited magically with Rowan her life seemed complete with him and his perfect new family. Who knew she could be an aunt without ever having siblings? [break][break] THE PLAYER[break][break] Age: 25 [break] Time Zone: California [break] Anything Else? ADMIN EDIT [break][break] Roleplay Sample: She had never before been more thankful that her classes were mostly all tucked away in the back half of the school. Her first three had been borderline perfect. French, creative writing, organic chemistry. There were downsides of course to being not only who she was but also in honors class. It added an extra level to the whole "freak" ascetic. So she was super smart AND the daughter of who? Luckily enough her French instructor was a family friend and had managed to sternly keep things in line when some of the boys in the class attempted to find the proper verbs and descriptors for "rage monster." Writing class she could be in her own little world and simply tune everything out, pouring herself into her work and not really paying attention to much of anything else... And luckily her Chem class consisted of nine people who were basically the epitome of science freaks and were way too busy to even consider forming insults rather than identifying mineral natural acids and bases. Beyond the captain of the basketball team and his usual, non original insults... Her morning was ACTUALLY decent. Sort of. That was until she reached her locker and found it dripping in green paint, inside and out as if it had been squirted into the slats, the lock cut open and missing. Well at least they were creative this time. Popping it open all of her things: books, binders, her bag all soaked and covered. Of course. She dug through the bags and found her wallet and her now totally ruined phone, managing to shove it into her back pocket as she simply left the locker door open and dripping, not even bothering to say a single word against the obviously very interested and amused students in the halls. I don't know where you're going but do you have room for one more troubled soul. I don't know where I'm going but I don't think I'm going home... Sitting under the bleachers once again she slid the useless piece of electronics over and over in her hands, playing with it as if it was the most amusing thing she had ever seen. Mostly she was attempting to keep her mind off of all the things she hadn't been able to do or see on it. All of her photos, her music, the ability to simply send a quick message to the one person besides her family who could make her feel worth something... However odd it seemed to be. They were a very unlikely pair, brought together simply by their fathers knowing each other but now it was way more than that. He was her best and only friend regardless of how many people told him it was horrible or that she was just some stupid freak. She even remembered a particular incident last year including a trigonometry book and Alex Fisher's face. Mr. Prom king had a broken nose and two black eyes for his precious dance. Say it. Let's be alone together. We could stay young forever. Scream it from the top of your lungs. Say it. Hearing footsteps she didn't look up. She knew who it was. Who it would always be. A very faint smile met her lips from behind her hair as she felt him move to sit next to her. Neither of them said a word and honestly they hardly ever needed to beyond conversations they wanted to have. His arm draped over her and she moved a bit closer, scooting against him. She wondered if he had seen the distraction that was her locker? She didn't really care honestly. She was used to that type of thing and the school itself would always try and sweep it under the rug and pretend it never happened... Which was what she herself tried to do. "Hey." She said with a sort of half smile because him being there had already jumpstarted her mood and who knows... With him here she might make it through another day. Who knows. She had gone months without getting in a fight so maybe she could stop for good? She set the phone down on his knee. "I swear I haven't been ignoring you."[break] |
