Often times she's considered aloof, or uncaring. She doesn't have many friends for the simple fact that she doesn't put forth the effort to make them. When she actually cares for something, Roma is wildly fervent about it, nearly obsessive. It shows in her favorite hobby, fashion design. Roma could spend hours of frivolously cooking up new outfit designs and sewing in her room, but try to hit her up with something she doesn't like, say History, she'll drag ass and put forth the very minimal effort. The two were originally from America, who moved to France to become English teachers in the local schools. During Ryan and Elizabeth's vacation to Italy, Elizabeth went into labor early. Roma, named after the city she was born in, was born over a month before she was due, and quite nearly didn't make it out of infancy. Because of her constant medical scares, she was babied and spoiled more than the other Gunn children. It gave Roma the inclination that she could have anything she wanted as she grew older. When the magical age of 11 hit Roma received her acceptance letter from a peculiar school called Beauxbaton's Academy. A strange lady appeared at the Gunn's doorsteps and explained to Roma's parents that she had shown definite signs of magical abilities. The Gunn family, obviously not quite believing this woman's story, asked for a demonstration of this so-called 'magic' which ended... Less than desirably. Without further questioning, Roma decided, as any newly magical eleven year old would, that she wanted to go to Beauxbaton's.[break][break]

Even at Beauxbaton's Academy, Roma didn't show much particular interest into any one subject. She was relatively good at Charms, and she adored Care of Magical Creatures, but that was about the extent of things. Her worst subject was History of Magic, mainly because she started with absolutely zero knowledge before hand. And History sucks. Most of the time Roma was simply found doodling new designs in her notebook, waiting for the day to end so she could go sit at her sewing machine. The girl made friends here and there, she wasn't anti-social by any means. She was more selectively-social. [break][break]

Roma is now entering her seventh year at Beauxbaton's and she plans on entering the TriWizard Tournament when the time comes. While she doesn't particularly excel at any one subject, one thing Roma loves to do is prove people wrong. By being chosen for the TriWizard (or better yet, winning) she'd like to prove to everyone that a muggleborn is just as capable as any pureblooded witch or wizard out there.

ADMIN EDIT[break][break] Roleplay Sample: It was a beautiful, bright and sunny day in Diagon Alley. The kind of day that Ellie Wood would absolutely adore -- And that she did. Even if she was a sports crazed girl, Ellie was still, indeed, a girl. So, Ellie took the day off from her regular, harsh, summer Quidditch practice schedule (as enforced by her Quidditch nut father) and decided to do some regular girl things; like shopping. [break]

Ellie started at one of her favorite (and rather posh) clothing stores, Twilfit & Tattings, spending a good amount of time there, and probably more than a good amount of money, on clothes she didn't need. Though, she would fiercely deny this to anyone that called her out on it.[break]

After her spell at Twilfit & Tattings, Ellie went to her most favorite shop of all; Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. The store was started by two of Ellie's all time pranking idols, Fred and George Weasley, legends at Hogwarts (and much to Ellie's chagrin, Peeves' favorite students. He never shuts up about how Ellie won't measure up to the mischievous pair). Ellie made her way through the store, her eyes glimmering at every new knick-knack the shop had to offer. [break]

She also left that store spending money far too frivolously. [break]

After strolling around, and buying more items than she needed, Ellie spotted Florean Flortescue's Ice Cream Parlour. Her eyes lit up at the mere thought of splurging herself on the sugary goodness that was Florean's ice cream. Her father would probably keel over from a heart attack if he knew she was about to indulge herself on something this 'bad' for her.[break]

But father dearest was not around. So, what he didn't know wouldn't hurt him... Right? [break]

That was Ellie's train of thought as she bounded into the ice cream parlour. She rather impatiently waited in line, and when it got to be her turn, Ellie ordered the largest bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream she could buy. Smiling, Ellie paid the worker behind the register (who was giving her a strange look the whole time... Who eats that much ice cream?) and cheerily walked to the tables outside to enjoy the sun and her beloved, sugary treat. She ate in silence, waiting to see if someone she knew would pass the streets, and relieve her of her momentary loneliness...[break]
