Matching her colorful hair and baby doll style. She loves laughing, having fun and cartoons. Generally she is always doing something, be it hanging out with someone or tapping away at her computer making music, or playing with her Nintendo. she is someone who loves video games and also making music from them. She is slowly making a small name for herself with her chip toons even if sometimes it's frustrating that there are areas of the magical world that don't let electronics work. [break]

She does have somewhat of a competitive streak. That definitely shows with the games. There are time when Paloma can be a sore looser breaking out into a string of Spanish. But if she just takes a moment has some candy then she is good. When she was younger her parents always felt that her competitiveness and focus would be good with sports. It didn't quite work out because she never liked being outside. She always would much rather spend her time with her games or music.[break]

Focused is something that has always been with the girl. She does what she sets her mind to even if some of those things are often seen as a waist of time. Her mom always secretly wished of more from her daughter. Coming from not the richest family Paloma understand the importants of hard work but she also thinks creativity is not a waist of time and can be viable. She wants to just be happy with her life and not tired like she always thought her mother was.[break]

She loves her heritage and where she came from. something that a lot of people find surprising is her sense of tradition. She uses Spanish everyday, even will pray, holding close to her catholic upbringing (despite the looks she has gotten with that one from her roommate). At the same time she is also carving a path herself, if that wasn't obvious enough with her hair and bright make up. Another way is by not limiting herself with the idea that she needs to find a 'nice boy who will give her a comfortable life' as her mother says. It was a wonderful time mixed with both magic and muggle ideals. Her father was the magical one, so her and her brothers learned from him that side of things. Living with her very religious grandmother it was interesting melding the two but the house was full of nothing but love. [break]

They didn't have the most but they would all cook together, making tortillas, learning how to roll tamales. Her mother made money as a seamstress, and she was never really clear what her father did but he was gone a lot. His parents worked a lot so they could provide for their children. So she was left in the care of her grandmother more. [break]

Eventually her older brother ended up going to Salem. At first her mother was apposed to it. She didn't want to let her child go to a different state without her. It took a while but with the reassuring from Alejandro to let him go. Nest it was Mateo and that left a year until Paloma went. Again her mother had another break down, ahving her baby girl get whisked away. Paloma promised she would be fine, she had her brothers there to watch over her and every break they would be back. 'mamá lo sabes' (mama you know this). [break]

School was great. It was liberating to be out of the little house and in a big beautiful school. She loved learning but mostly just loved getting the time to do the things that truly made her happy without her mother breathing down her back telling her to get off the silly games. [break]

She thrived in the halls making friends and doing just fine in classes. There were some things she liked more than others. Some teachers that she liked more than some. But she fully was able to grow into her own while away from her family, even if she did constantly have her brother's around her.
