The invitations were sent out and suddenly everything about planning a wedding became real. She would have family and friends from all over the world coming to watch her try not to fall down while walking up the aisle. She knew that the Chavaliers would show up to smirk and snicker about Gaspard marrying someone who was eighteen while their daughter sat as witness to all of it. She knew that there would never be a time when the Chavaliers (Rebekah excluded) didn't question her desire to be with Gaspard, but she didn't care about anything that they had. She didn't want to live in the fancy gilded halls of the Chavalier mansion in Paris, she wanted her small and cozy cottage with her fiance and their little girl.
The Madigans would all show up, most of them had known Ari for years. When Rita welcomed her into the home, the rest of the extended family followed suit. She knew that they would be happy for her, and would love to meet Daisy. The rest of the wedding would be filled with professors who helped her grow up, friends who she tried to push away but never could, and everyone else who was somehow a part of her life when she thought that she had no one. When she sent out the letters to Felix, James and Maddie she expected them to insist that she find someone else to be part of it. That it would be too weird to have two men in her bridal party, but she wouldn't have it any other way. Plus, she was going to have enough issues standing out as beautiful with Maddie standing next to her, but she still wanted the blonde to be part of her big day. Even if putting Maddie in a burlap sack would be a stunning fashion choice, she knew that it wouldn't be the same without her. James, Felix and Booker had been her next choices, but after some discussion and a loving game of rock, paper, scissors, it was decided that Gaspard would get Booker.
Ari gathered up everything or her daughter, kissed Gaspard softly and apparated to James's home in Montana. Once she made sure that Daisy was alright, she walked up to the front door and knocked. She knew that James would be home, they had been planning on having Daisy and Luka on a play date, and she had a feeling that the young parents needed a break from their newest baby boy. She still couldn't believe that she was getting married and her daughter was getting close to being a year old. So much had changed since she started seeing Gaspard. It had been everything that she could have wanted out of life and she knew that it would be worth all of the heartache in the end.
She adjusted Daisy on her hip and smiled at her dark haired little girl while they waited for James or Charley to open the door.
