It is hard to see the true young woman for who she really is when so much speculation as painted her into such a swallow person. If you follow the crowd and listen closely to the rumors, Brianna is an insensitive harlot that sticks her nose up at others. That she carries herself with an air of arrogance and skimps by ‘sweet talking’ her Professors. Others say that she is spiteful and jealous of other girl’s and will steal away their boyfriends when they are not looking. The reason she does not speak to anybody is because she would not want to waste her breath on someone lesser than her. There is plenty more and new outlandish rumors going around every week. She has become numb to the effects of the hateful words targeted at her. She had to endure them for years. Though she was victimized since she was a small girl, she grew into a determined young woman. With the support of her mother and cousin, they helped her become a fighter. She refused to let words be her undoing. Though she seems isolated from others, it is for her own safety and sanity. She tries to be productive by keeping up her grades; the hard way, by studying and working hard in class so when the time come she can get as far away from Salem to start a new life. Brianna is a very logical girl; she tries to calculate everything she can to figure out the best possible outcome. It has proven effective in most cases, though there were a few unaccountable risk factors that came up. She learns from her failures but this has developed in her putting up walls to protect herself over time. It is hard for people to get close to her; she has trust issues steaming from spiteful people from her past. It is hard to tell fake people from genuine people. She would rather be a loner than risk putting her-self out there to get hurt. There have been times where she would make a stand against the others for their actions but it would never prove effective in the long run. It was all of them against her words. She was determined to figure out a way to make her last year at Salem a good one in hopes of earning a bit of respect. [break][break] HISTORY[break][break] Family:[break] • Darcy Anne Bailey, 37, Pure, Mother[break] • ----- -----, ?? , ?? , Father [Unknown][break] • ---- ---- Bailey, ??, Half, Cousin[break]Birth Place:Texas[break] Overall History: Bri does not remember much of her childhood being pleasant. She was positive that in her youngest years things were delightful and full of love. Things changed as she got older and started to mingle with other people outside of her family. When she first entered school as a child, she tried to make a new friend with a girl with silky pigtails. The girl just scrunched up her nose in disgust and called her ugly before running away. That was the first time she was picked on and the first time she felt the hurt of words. That day she went home and cried into her mother’s arms. Her mother just held her close and tried to smooth her pain. Despite being a small child, her mother spoke to her like a grown up. She told Bri that the world can be a cruel place where people are sometimes rotten, that they will do anything to dim the light in other people’s souls. They were envious of that light because their souls weren’t as bright and/or good. Those words stuck with her over the years as she went through her ugly duckling stage. In her adolescent years, she was trying to tame her frizzy hair, had a mouth full of metal as her mother insisted on braces, and half her face covered in soft colored freckles. The kids had a field day picking on her because of her looks. The names changed every day to the point where she didn’t want to go to school anymore. Despite being pushed far from her breaking point, her mother always spoke to her and brought back her courage. Everything changed when she started her fourth year at Salem. That summer she went through her blooming stage. Almost overnight she grew into her body. She could actually fill out a bra, her hair turned silky and tamed itself; her face was blemish free for the most part. And the day before she was to go back to school, her braces came off. She remembers being so happy because she thought things would be different when she returned. They didn’t have reasons to tease her anymore. They might actually like her now. She entered the halls full of confidence and everyone stared as she passed. No one spoke to her that day. No want pulling at her hair, coming to her to call her ugly. It was pleasant for once. It wasn’t until the next day that she entered the school; everyone was staring while whispering to one another. Thinking nothing of it, she continued on her way to class. By the end of the day, she overheard a group of girl’s talking in the library. She heard them discussing how they heard that she had gotten surgery during the summer to make herself look better. Repulsed by the information, she packed up her stuff and rushed home. Nothing had gotten better, they had gotten worse. They weren’t just hurting her, they were hurting her name and reputation in Salem. By the end of her fourth year, everyone knew the name of Brianna Bailey. That she had surgery to get boy’s attention, that she felt sorry for herself and wanted attention from everyone. She was keeping up with her grades and then the rumor of her sleeping around with professors surfaced. The whispers were everywhere and she couldn’t get away from them. Her cousin, who she was close with, tried to help clear the rumors but soon she was blacklisted as well. She lived with it for a few more years, keeping herself busy by studying and taking up hobbies. She kept active by running, free running, and boxing. The last one was an idea her mother joked about but she figured it would be good to know how to defend herself if need be without the use of magic. It came in handy during her 6th year. Boys figured she was a slut and would often come up to proposition her for a good time and she would tell them to jump off a cliff. One day, a low life type tried his hand and when she refused and walked away, he grabbed her by the arm and put her against the wall, pinning her. She still remembers his hands groping her as she tried to push him off. It was when he put his hand around her throat that her panic went into over drive. Her knee went into his groin and her palm met his nose, causing blood to gush out. It had given her enough time to dash for the exit, and she ran all the way home without stopping for a breath. Her cousin found her crying in her room later that afternoon with blood stained on her shirt. Bri told her everything that happened with the brute and made her promise not to say anything to anybody. She can just imagine how people would turn the story around and make her feel ten times more pitiful than she did at that moment. The guy bragged about how he got into a fight during practice instead of saying it was a girl that fucked his shit up. She would catch him staring at her after that incident, the intent still deep in his eyes that sent a bone chilling shiver down her back. Now in her 7th year, she is seeking how to overcome the hate against her and maybe even earn a bit of respect. All while steering clear of the brute who keeps getting closer when she isn’t looking. [break][break] THE PLAYER[break][break] Age:24[break] Time Zone: Eastern[break] Anything Else? ADMIN EDIT[break][break] Roleplay Sample: The weather in Cairo was too dry and too hot. The petite girl stepped out of her mother's magical supply shop and used her hand to block out the strong rays of the afternoon sun. Within seconds, she had perspiration forming on her forehead. The city was bustling like any other day and the sounds were overwhelming her today. She decided then and there she needed a get away, maybe for the weekend. With that in mind, she turned on her heels and headed back inside. Her mother standing at her chemistry table, mixing together a potion to sell. Makena walked over to the white board and grabbed the marker that was hanging on a string, scribbling something. I am going away for spring break, be back in a few days, love you She drew a silly little smiley face and went upstairs to pack a bag. She had the perfect place in mind. Once she was finished packing away her bare necessities, she gave her mother a quick kiss on the cheek in a form of goodbye. Concentrating hard with her eyes closed, she zipped away. When she reopened them, she found herself on the beautiful coast of the Caribbeans. 'This is much better'she thought to herself as a passing breeze beckoned her to the clear waters of the beach. She rented a little bungalow near the beach and pulled out her bathing suit. Once she had the two piece on, she went on to rub some sun lotion on her skin. The girl quickly slipped on a pair of denim jean shorts and a knitted halter top. When she stepped out of the hut, her skin glisten in the soft rays. She stepped into the sand with bare feet, wiggling her painted toes. She took her time walking the shore, picking up unique shells she came across. She pocketed them away on the belt that hung around her hips. She was ready to enjoy her break.[break] |
