She likes things to be "just so" when it comes to her own life, prone to tantrums when things don't go according to her plan. She considers herself posh, much older, and more worldly than others her age, but then again, it's not much hard to seem more mature than most of them.

Overall History: Alya was named after the brightest star in the Theta Serpentis constellation, hoping their first born would be as cunning and bright as the snake. Little did they know how prophetic that would be. Even early on and with the little attention they could give to the girl from their busy schedules, they knew Alya was a forced to be reckoned with. She was always an incredibly demanding and fussy child, always needing to be held and crying restlessly when she wasn't. Ariadne did her best but she was not a woman meant to be a mother so she passed her daughter off to the nurses and went back to work at the ministry as soon as she could. 

Constantly in and out of trouble in her house, she knew everything about everyone under her roof and was never above blackmailing her nanny for a later bedtime or the chef for a few extra cookies. Alya learned early on the power of a secret and enjoyed hoarding as many as she could. It was all she could do to balance out the concern that the Selywn's oldest daughter was possibly a squib. Despite being a very bright child, she did not show any signs of magic until a month before she was to leave for Hogwarts, when she nearly hit by a car in London. The family barely had time to gather her supplies before she was off to school. 

She was surprised to find herself sorted into gryffindor, always thinking she was too ambitious and driven for the pack of mealymouthed plebeians the house produced but she found it was a good fit. Alya has a good circle of friends and a great many people she enjoys messing with, and that's all a girl could ask for. 

School went along in the usual way, studying and the like. Despite herself she began a close friendship with the impossible Albus Potter, a boy in her house and year. Alya found him completely insufferable, annoying, and a ridiculous waste of a powerful last name but he was useful when she needed to get things done or spy on someone. They worked together very well, despite all of their apparent differences. After he helped her discover her father's infidelity he comforted her, taking care of her when she got incredibly drunk and the two shared their first kiss. After that, the two found reasons to repeat the action until New Years Day, when it became too much for them and they decided it was time to stop pretending. 

It was not to last for long. Graduation crept up on the couple and then Alya's instincts for a story led her to America. Currently she is seeking out those who have revived the death eaters to join their ranks. As of now, after touring all the major cities in America, scouring the different wizarding communities for whispers, to find the elusive crowd and infiltrate the group.
